Good Bones is ending its run on HGTV, but viewers could see the stars, mother and daughter duo Mina Starsiak Hawk and Karen E. Laine, return in future projects. There’s a possibility they could return in separate series on the cable channel.
Per Deadline, a HGTV representative said, “While this is the end of Good Bones as we know it, we’re currently in talks with Mina and Karen about other projects,”
Good Bones premiered on the cable network in 2016, and Starsiak Hawk and Laine have each had their spin-offs.
Starsiak Hawk went solo in the Discovery+ series Good Bones: Risky Business, where she purchased the historic Sanders House in the Fountain Square neighborhood of Indianapolis. That show ran for six episodes last year.
Meanwhile, Laine starred in a 2022 special called Good Bones: Better Yard. That program follows master gardener Laine and her team of experts as they overhaul a young couple’s outdoor space.
Starsiak Hawk said the following about wrapping the series:
“Today, I filmed my last few pickups for Good Bones. Not Good Bones Season 8, but for Good Bones. So it is officially… That’s a wrap, folks. It’s the end of an era. I mean, I had to say goodbye to some people today that I have spent my last almost 10 years with.”
The eighth and final season of Good Bones debuts tomorrow night on HGTV.
