At one time, it looked like the How to Get Away with Murder TV show would be one of ABC’s most successful series. While it started out strong, the ratings have seen some big drops. A legal-thriller TV series on ABC, How to Get Away with Murder stars Viola Davis, Billy Brown, Jack Falahee, Aja Naomi King, Matt McGorry, Conrad Ricamora, Karla Souza, Charlie Weber, and Liza Weil. The story revolves around the world of Middleton University Professor Annalise Keating (Davis). Murder, deception, fear and guilt bind her to her long-time associates and students. As the group struggles to move on following the death of Wes, their past continues to haunt them. Relationships are fractured, lies spin out of control, and a shocking, new mystery upends their lives.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. For comparisons: The third season of How to Get Away with Murder on ABC averaged a 1.30 rating in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and 4.605 million viewers.
