What’s This TV Show About?

A CBS crime thriller, based on the James Patterson novel, Murder Games, Instinct stars Alan Cumming, Bojana Novakovic, Daniel Ings, Naveen Andrews, and Sharon Leal. The drama centers on Dr. Dylan Reinhart (Cumming), a former CIA operative who is lured out of his peaceful retirement as a university professor and author, to help NYPD Detective Lizzie Needham (Novakovic) catch a serial killer. Dylan’s old CIA colleague, Julian Cousins (Andrews), lends a hand, along with Lizzie’s C.O., Lt. Jasmine Gooden (Leal). Meanwhile, Dylan’s husband, Andy (Ings), worries his spouse has forsaken their agreement to permanently leave his past in the past.

Telly’s Take

Will CBS cancel or renew Instinct for season two? The demo ratings have been quite poor but total viewership is pretty good. I suspect the show will be cancelled but the total viewer numbers could save it. For now, I’ll keep an eye on the Nielsens and update this page with breaking developments.
