(Robert Voets / Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc / CBS)

There’ll be no return to the Promised Land for fans of the Living Biblically TV show. CBS cancelled the sitcom on April 19th and pulled it from the air. Early last month, the network scheduled Living Biblically to return and “burn off” the remainder of the season one episodes, beginning May 28th. Last week, they then pushed the return off until June 4th, and the Living Biblically season one/TV series finale was expected to air on June 25th. Now, the network has slated NCIS: New Orleans reruns in Biblically‘s place, until Salvation assumes the timeslot on June 25th.

CBS sitcom, Living Biblically stars Jay R. Ferguson, Lindsey Kraft, Ian Gomez, David Krumholtz, Tony Rock, and Camryn Manheim. Based on the AJ Jacobs book, The Year of Living Biblically, the comedy centers on Chip Curry (Ferguson), a film critic for a New York City newspaper. After the death of his best friend, Chip decides to live a better life, through strict adherence to biblical precepts
