What’s This TV Show About?
An episodic anthology streaming on the Amazon Prime Video paid subscription platform, Lore is narrated by creator Aaron Mahnke. Based on his podcast of the same name, each episode of Lore explores the folklore behind modern day horror stories. In the first season, the cast includes Colm Feore, Adam Goldberg, Robert Patrick, Holland Roden, Campbell Scott, Kristin Bauer van Straten, Kristen Cloke, Jason Davis, Joe Knezevich, Bethan Anne Line, Clark Moore, Cathal Pendred, Caroline Arapoglou, Michael Bullard, and John Byner.
On February 26, 2018, Lore was renewed for a second season, with a start date TBD. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Unless they decide to publicize its viewership, it is difficult to predict whether Amazon will cancel or renew Lore for season two. The podcast which inspired it is pretty popular though, so it has a built-in fanbase. Because of that, I think it has a good shot at a second season renewal, as long as the creative will to make it is still there, and all parties can agree on money. Since there are no ratings to track, I’ll keep an eye on the trades and update this page as developments break. Subscribe for free updates on any Lore cancellation or renewal news.
