Rel: Season One Ratings

Rel TV show on FOX: season 1 ratings (canceled or renewed season 2?)

Last year, FOX cancelled a number of comedies, including Ghosted, The Mick, LA to Vegas and of course, Brooklyn Nine-Nine (which was then picked up by NBC). Now the broadcast is taking another shot at making us laugh, with its new Rel TV show. Can it find and tickle the audience’s funny bone? Will Rel be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. **Status update below.

A multi-camera FOX sitcom, Rel stars Lil Rel Howery, Jessica ‘Jess Hilarious’ Moore, Jordan L. Jones, and Sinbad. Set on the West Side of Chicago, and inspired by the comedy of Lil Rel Howery, the series centers on Rel (Howery) a hardworking, successful husband and father who had everything, until his wife had an affair with his barber, then took the kids and decamped to Cleveland. Now, with the help of his Dad (Sinbad), brother Nat (Jones), and best friend, Brittany (Moore), Rel is trying to maintain a good relationship with his kids and find love again, not to mention a new barber.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

1/14 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
