The drama unfolds in Jersey City, when a white police officer accidentally hits and critically injures Brenton Butler — an African-American teenager. After the young man dies, the ensuing cover-up only serves to ignite racially fueled community tensions. Now, assistant prosecutor KJ Harper (Ashitey) is working with Brenton’s mother, Latrice (King), to uncover the truth about this volatile case.
