Deadline reports USA Network has renewed its Shooter TV show for a second season. The conspiracy thriller stars Ryan Phillippe, Shantel VanSanten, Omar Epps, Eddie McClintock, and Cynthia Addai-Robinson.
Originally, Shooter season one was supposed to premiere on July 19th. USA Network delayed the premiere first by a week and then by months, in response to real-world shootings. The series finally kicked off on November 15th.
Shooter Renewed for Season Two on USA Network
Shooter comes from executive producers Mark Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson, and Lorenzo di Bonaventur. Stephen Hunter’s novel Point of Impact and the 2007 feature film of the same name inspired the TV series.
Shooter Season One Ratings
As of the fifth episode in its first season, shooter was averaging a 0.47 in the 28-49 year old viewer ratings demographic. The drama series garnered an average total audience of 1.406 million viewers.
Following closely behind Suits, Shooter is USA’s number two scripted series.
