The Flash, Supergirl: Exec Producer Talks Crossover Rumors

The Flash and Supergirl air on two different networks, but fans have been buzzing about recent crossover rumors. The rumors popped up late last month, and it was rumored that The Flash and Supergirl would crossover during May Sweeps. TV Series Finale reported on those rumors as soon as they started to circulate.

Fans excited about the possibility of a crossover featuring the two series can calm down now. Andrew Kreisberg, the executive producer of both series, has dashed all those crossover hopes now.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a crossover is not even in the talking phase right now.

Kreisberg said the following:

“There’s always those late nights, delirious, semi-high on pizza where you’re like, ‘You know what would be really cool? If …’ But right now there is no legitimate actual plan to bring [The Flash’s] Cisco [Carlos Valdes] onto Supergirl or to bring [Supergirl’s] Winn [Jeremy Jordan] onto Legends [of Tomorrow]. First of all, we don’t even know if we could, legally. And quite frankly, just making the Arrow-verse, which is what we call Legends, Flash and Arrow work and then making Supergirl work, it’s enough of a challenge without having to add a fourth player.”

There it is right from the man in charge. With Tom Welling also signed onto a new CBS drama, those rumors of him bringing his Superman to The Flash should be laid to rest as well.
