A Netflix sitcom, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt stars Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess, Carol Kane, Jane Krakowski, Fred Armisen, and Mike Carlsen. It follows Kimmy Schmidt (Kemper), who was held by Indiana doomsday cult leader, the Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne (Jon Hamm) for fifteen years. Resolving to reject the “victim” label, Kimmy decides not to return to the Midwest. Armed with little more than an eighth grade education, light-up Sketchers, an over abundance of optimism, and a new, quirky circle of friends, Kimmy takes on New York City.
