The story continues. Variety reports Once Upon a Time has been renewed by ABC for a sixth season.
Now in its fifth season, Once Upon a Time takes place in Storybrooke, Maine and gives a modern update to classic fairytale characters like Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), Prince Charming (Josh Dallas), and Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue). Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parrilla, and Jared S. Gilmore also star.
Though ratings have declined in the fifth season, the fantasy drama is still pulling in a decent average of almost 5 million viewers per episode.
Earlier today, series creator Adam Horowitz tweeted thanks to ABC and the fans for the renewal:
Thrilled to announce that #OnceUponATime has been picked up for season 6! Thank you ABC and thank you to the most extraordinary fans ever!

Once Upon a Time returns for its mid-season premiere on Sunday, March 6th, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
