I Feel Bad: Season One Ratings

I Feel Bad TV show on NBC: season 1 ratings (canceled or renewed season 2?)

Although sitcom revivals are still all the rage, the networks keep developing new comedy series too. While they may not have that comfy-blankie feel of a returning favorite, they do bring fresh faces, and sometimes fresh perspective, to those viewers who just want a good laugh. In recent seasons, NBC has had some solid success with shows like The Good Place and Superstore, but others, like Champions failed to score even a second season. Enter the I Feel Bad TV show. With its snicker-at-ourselves sensibility, will this new series find an audience ready to laugh in empathy? Will I Feel Bad be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. **Status update below.

An NBC family comedy, I Feel Bad stars Sarayu Blue, Paul Adelstein, Madhur Jaffrey, Brian George, James Buckley, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, and Aisling Bea. The sitcom centers on Emet Kamala-Sweetzer (Blue), the head artist at a video game company and a married mother of three. Although Emet feels pressure to be perfect at everything in her life, like the rest of us, she’s just muddling through. Consequently, she can’t stop feeling guilty about any number of things and knows all too well her shortcomings as a wife, mother, and professional. She may not know what she’ll bad about next, but she always knows it’s just around the corner.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

12/28 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
