Fans are getting more of The Haves and the Have Nots. Deadline reports the OWN TV show will return for a sixth season.
The primetime soap centers on the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family of Savannah, Georgia and their hired help who work in their opulent mansion. The cast includes Tika Sumpter, Crystal Fox, Renee Lawless, Tyler Lepley, Aaron, Peter Parros, Angela Robinson, Gavin Houston, John Schneider, Brett Davis, Presilah Nunez, and Nick Sagar.
Earlier, we reported The Haves and the Have Nots creator Tyler Perry offered Cosby Show star Geoffrey Owens a role on the show’s upcoming sixth season. Now, Deadline reports Owens will appear in 10 episodes of the new season.
OWN has not yet announced a premiere date for season six, but shooting has just begun.

1/8/19 update: Our contact at OWN tells us that there are 11 episodes remaining in season five (bringing the total to 44 episodes) and that season six will air later in 2019.
