Chicago Fire TV show on NBC: season eight renewalNBC is understandably still hot for Dick Wolf’s Chicago Fire series. The peacock network has renewed the Wednesday night series for an eighth season. It will air as part of the 2019-20 broadcast season and will likely return in the fall.

An NBC action drama, Chicago Fire stars Jesse Spencer, Taylor Kinney, Eamonn Walker, David Eigenberg, Joe Minoso, Yuri Sardarov, Christian Stolte, Kara Killmer, Miranda Rae Mayo, and Annie Illonzeh. The series follows the personal lives and work lives of the Chicago paramedics and firefighters working on Engine 51, Truck 81, Ambulance, and Battalion 25. No occupation is more stressful or dangerous, yet so rewarding and exhilarating. These courageous men and women forge headfirst into danger when everyone else is running the other way.
