NBC has a burning need for more Chicago Fire. Today, the network announced they’ve renewed the TV show for a seventh season.
Part of Dick Wolf’s Chicago franchise, the drama “follows the personal lives and work lives of the Chicago paramedics and firefighters working on Engine 51, Truck 81, Ambulance, and Battalion 25. The cast includes Jesse Spencer, Taylor Kinney, Monica Raymund, Eamonn Walker, David Eigenberg, Joe Minoso, Yuri Sardarov, Christian Stolte, Kara Killmer, and Miranda Rae Mayo.
Chicago Fire Is Renewed for Season Seven on NBC
Although there’s no press release, the renewal was announced on Twitter. Check it out.

A Look at the Ratings:
While Chicago Fire doesn’t rank as high as its sibling series (Chicago Med and Chicago PD), the show is still a solid performer for NBC. So far, season six is averaging 1.09 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.981 million viewers.
Tonight, NBC also renewed Chicago PD for season six and Chicago Med for season four.
