Supergirl: Will the CBS Series Move to CW for Season Two?

Supergirl fans are still waiting on word about a season two renewal, and there are new reports that a season two may happen – but it may not happen on CBS. The series may move to CW for its second season.

The Wrap reported that Leslie Moonves, the boss at CBS, is in heavy talks with Warner Bros Television about the future of the series. The large budget for the series is causing a snag, according to the report. Each episode costs about $3 million.

If the series moved to CW, it would face budget cuts. The move would put it with the rest of the DC television lineup though. CW is already home to The Flash, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The crossover with The Flash was one of the most highly rated episodes of the season, but the ratings dropped by about half from the series premiere.

Would a move to CW, which has a younger audience than CBS, help? It is possible. It would also open the door for more crossovers to happen in the future.

Right now, no one is officially speaking out about the future of Supergirl, but time is running out. CBS and CW will lineup their schedules for next year later this month.

Do you want to see a second season of Supergirl? Would CW be a better home for the series? Tell us what you think.
