What’s This TV Show About?

A Freeform dramedy inspired by the professional life of former Cosmopolitan Editor-in-Chief, Joanna Coles, The Bold Type stars Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee, Meghann Fahy, Matt Ward, Sam Page, Melora Hardin, and Nikohl Boosheri. Set at the offices of Scarlet, a women’s magazine, the story follows the newest generation of “Scarlet women” — Jane (Stevens), Kat (Dee), and Sutton — as they make their marks on the industry.

 

Season Two Ratings

The second season of The Bold Type averaged a 0.14 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 310,000 viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 10% in the demo and down by 1% in viewership. Learn how The Bold Type stacks up against the other Freeform TV shows.
 

 

Telly’s Take

Freeform has already renewed The Bold Type for a third season. I’m still going to keep an eye on the ratings however because even renewals can be cancelled (just ask the cast and crew of TBS’ People of Earth). Viewers don’t have to worry ill cancel or renew The Bold Type for season three. For now, I’ll keep an eye on the ratings and update this page with breaking developments.
