What’s This TV Show About?
A Freeform dramedy inspired by the professional life of former Cosmopolitan Editor-in-Chief, Joanna Coles, The Bold Type stars Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee, Meghann Fahy, Matt Ward, Sam Page, Melora Hardin, and Nikohl Boosheri. Set at the offices of Scarlet, a women’s magazine, the story follows the newest generation of “Scarlet women” — Jane (Stevens), Kat (Dee), and Sutton — as they make their marks on the industry.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of The Bold Type averaged a 0.14 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 310,000 viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 10% in the demo and down by 1% in viewership. Learn how The Bold Type stacks up against the other Freeform TV shows.
Freeform has already renewed The Bold Type for a third season. I’m still going to keep an eye on the ratings however because even renewals can be cancelled (just ask the cast and crew of TBS’ People of Earth).
