FOX Ratings Race: Mob Doctor Hangs On (Sort Of)

Mob Doctor canceled yetThe Mob Doctor remains on the air, despite the fact that it will surely be cancelled. This week’s episode hit a new series low, taking the show’s low ratings averages even lower.

FOX hasn’t ordered any additional installments beyond the initial 13 episode order. For whatever reason, they seem to be committed to producing all of the episodes. It remains to be seen if they’ll air them all — especially if the ratings drop even lower.

Several shows have seen average gains or losses since the last ratings report. Those that gained are The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, and Kitchen Nightmares. The series that lost are Family Guy, Bones, Mob Doctor, and Fringe.

What do you think? Will the network air all of the Mob Doctor episodes? Share your comments below.

These charts incorporate the daily final FOX show ratings (reported by Nielsen) and are sorted by the 18-49 demographic. Network advertisers typically prize those viewers most and so will pay more to reach them. There’s lots of information that the networks take into consideration when cancelling or renewing a TV series but the ratings are the biggest factor. The higher the ratings, the better chance that the show will be renewed. And yes, they take it into account when a show airs on a Friday or Saturday night.
