The Simpsons should have been canned long ago. They should have had the good sense to end it while it was still on top. Now it’s just something to fill a time slot.

I still enjoy the show. I want it to beat Gunsmoke’s record episode count, but I also like the show. So, I hope it gets renewed for a few more seasons at least.

“If so, will it be due to low ratings or just because the writers have finally run out of ideas?”

Are you kidding? The writers ran out of ideas 13 years ago, around the same time they had decent writers. Cancel this train wreck, it’s nothing but an embarrassment to what it once was.

This show is too classic to cancel, although the new episodes suck, they owe the fans a great ending, which it wont be able to deliver, so they should just keep it going, and hopefully it will pick up again.

smart & hilarious ‘most every time. Best show , even better than S.P. mostly because it’s not so embarassingly filthy.

I was unhappy at the low ratings last season, but happy for the high premiere this season and that is beat Family Guy last season and so far this season.
