New Girl: Season Two Ratings

New Girl looked like a big ratings hit but the numbers declined as the season wore on. Could last season’s FOX comedy hit end up being cancelled this season? Time will tell.

The second season of New Girl typically airs Tuesday nights at 9pm on the FOX network. Once again, the sitcom’s cast is made up of Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Lamorne Morris, Max Greenfield, and Hannah Simone.

Below are the TV show’s ratings for the 2012-13 season, the best way to tell if New Girl is going to be cancelled or renewed for season three.

Compared to the series premiere a year ago, New Girl was down significantly in the ratings — by 42% in the demo and by 48% in viewership. This season’s opener did however match the first season’s closer.
