TV show description:
This TV series revolves around an exuberant dreamer who always says “yes” and his overly responsible little sister. He moves in to help raise her five-year-old daughter. A comedy, it follows a pair of odd-couple siblings and their friends as they push each other out of their comfort zones and into real life.

Kate Fox (Dakota Johnson) always tried to follow the rules but found herself pregnant in college and dropped out before graduating. After the birth of her daughter, Maddie (Maggie Elizabeth Jones), Kate put her aspirations on hold.

She now works as a bar manager to make ends meet and is able to maximize her time with Maddie. Kate is overly prepared for every possible catastrophe — except for the arrival of her older brother, Ben.

Ben Fox (Nat Faxon) likes trouble a lot more than his sister does. He has an infectious energy that makes everyone want to follow him — specifically into any number of bad ideas. He’ll totally screw up their lives, but somehow, they’ll feel good about it.

Where Kate is all about planning and preparing, Ben is big on spontaneity and out-of-the-box ideas. The thing is, he’ll probably be a millionaire someday.

When Ben comes to crash on Kate’s couch for a few days, he finds a sad state of affairs. For the first time in their lives, Kate needs Ben’s help, and he’s determined to bring some much-needed chaos into her overly stable world.

He starts by looking after Maddie so that Kate can get back to making mistakes — especially since the one “real mistake” she made turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to her. Kate hopes to return the favor by seeing how she can bring her brother back to reality.

Ben’s partner-in-crime, Tommy (Echo Kellum), is always there to help with Ben’s crazy schemes. He worships Ben like a hero and nurses a serious crush on Kate.

Kate’s British best friend is BJ (Lucy Punch), a cocktail waitress at the bar. She’s an all-around hot mess who would do anything for Kate, even if it’s questionable or illegal.

Series Finale:
Episode #16 — Ethics 101
Kate returns to college, determined to focus on her studies instead of boys this time around. Ben is excited to celebrate his two-month anniversary with girlfriend Vera.
First aired: Did not air in the US.

I am so disappointed to hear that Ben and Kate has been cancelled. It was my favorite show. Ben and Kate are two of the funniest characters I’ve ever seen on television. This was a creative, funny and well-done show with talented actors and it should have continued.

I don’t understand why ppl didn’t think this show was funny. I hate that they get rid of some good shows without finishing them! Like Good Christian ***** or No Ordinary Family! They should of made more seasons of No Ordinary Family,it was great! Why dnt they ever put any good shows on Saturdays! Nothing good is on Saturdays! I remember when they had good stuff on Saturdays. Hell…bring back TGIF!
