copper-mistresses-lucky-7-sleepy-hollow-the-blacklistIt’s another episode of the podcast and there are lots of TV show cancellations and renewals. Here’s what we talked about: Dexter (Showtime) and Breaking Bad (AMC) had very different finales. Copper (BBC America) has been cancelled but may wrap up with a movie.

TNT has cancelled King & Maxwell following one season while Lifetime has decided to end Army Wives after seven seasons on the air.

The Bridge (FX) has been renewed for a second season. Wilfred has also been renewed but will also be ending on FXX. A&E has decided to drop Hoarders after six seasons.

Both Motive and Mistresses will be back on ABC next summer. CBS still has leftover episodes of Unforgettable and has renewed the show for season three. (Here’s a fun video of Marilu Henner’s incredible memory on Later with Bob Costas.)

HBO’s Boardwalk Empire will return for a fifth season next year.

FOX has dropped Murder Police but is keeping The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers around for next year.

Hallmark Channel has renewed their first original drama, Cedar Cove, for a second season. Season four of Covert Affairs (USA Networks) returns October 17th and season five starts airing next summer.

The final six episodes of Nikita (The CW) begin airing in November.

Sleepy Hollow (FOX) is the first show of the new season to get a season renewal, The Blacklist (NBC) is the first to get a full season pickup and Lucky 7 (ABC) is the first to be cancelled. Tune in!
