canceled TV shows - TV Series Finale

CSI: Cyber: Season One Ratings

Published: May 14, 2015

CSI: Cyber TV show on CBS: ratings (cancel or renew?)A decade or so ago, CSI was one of the highest-rated TV shows on network television. It spawned two spin-offs — CSI: NY and CSI: Miami — and each had long runs before being cancelled. Will CSI: Cyber also find ratings success? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.

On CSI: Cyber, Special Agent Avery Ryan (Patricia Arquette) heads the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI. It’s a unit at the forefront of solving illegal activities that start in the mind, live online, and play out in the real world. This crime drama also features the talents of James Van Der Beek, Hayley Kiyoko, Charley Koontz, Shad Moss, and Peter MacNicol.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

5/11 update: CBS has renewed CSI: Cyber for a second season.

Final season averages: 1.39 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 8.11 million total viewers.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

How are your shows doing in the ratings? Check the current rankings:
A&E | ABC | AMC | Bravo | CBS | CMT | The CW | FOX | Freeform | FX | FXX
Hallmark | HBO | History | MTV | NBC | OWN | Showtime | Starz | Syfy | TBS
TNT | TV Land | USA Network | WGN America

What do you think? Do you like the CSI: Cyber TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

It took me a few weeks to get “into” this show (probably because I didn’t see the first one), but I really enjoy the show. So – I vote to renew it. Thanks.

First time watching 6/17/2015. I am not interested in watching again. Why? Music and other background noise makes speech unintelligible. Plot is further obscured by continued unprofessional interactions of the characters.

I vote for cancellation.

Im a Patricia Arquette fan from when she played Allison Dubois in Medium. However I feel that the writers need to put more depth into the characters even Avery Ryan. Otherwise the show could be successful.

I agree I think csi cyber should be cancelled and the original csi should not be cancelled, just as stalker should not be cancelled, I think Big Brother is a show that should be cancelled that show is so Stupid. Don’t get me wrong I like some reality tv programs such as Survivor and The Amazing Race…

Watching CSI: Cyber is the same as watching Fox News. In both cases, you are presented with a huge lie, and are expected to accept it as truth.

I have really enjoyed CSI:Cyber its different and intriguing, smart…has been a little dry in spots but the cast is a good combination of people. A cyber crime show could have endless possibilities the writing needs to get a boost stay smart not silly …would really like to see it continue

You know its bad when Kristen Stewart has more depth, expression, and animation than Patricia Arquette. I tried to like this show, I binge watched five episodes in a row and all I can wonder is if Peter McNichol and the rest of the cast have a backup plan. It’s just dreadful.

I have watched this attempt at entettainment several times since its first airing. So far i think this almost the worst of all the spin-offs (CSI Miami ranks first, in my view). The problem lies in the poor writing and concept fulfillment. I find it hard to like or care about any of the characters. None have a “cuddly” personality which generates interest or empathy. This show, like many other cop shows, promotes the main actors as do it all cops. Not only are the characters in Cyber computer wizards, they are also better trained and braver than thevSWAT teams… Read more »

Patricia Arquette needs some serious dental work done, but even that’s wouldn’t be enough to save this dog of a show. ATROCIOUS acting. Bye Cyber

I don’t think the acting is the main problem with this show. If it had better scripts, the actors would have something to work with. The main problem is the illogical plots, coupled with the junk science. I expect a show about cyber crime to be written by reasonably intelligent people. But all the writers are interested in is manipulating the audience, with multiple “You’ve got to be kidding me” moments. I question whether or not the writers know very much about computers at all.

Please CBS, don’t get me interested in a TV show and then cancel it. This CSI is way better than the original. If you want to cancel one, cancel the original. It’s had too many character changes and it’s stretching for story lines. This one is up to date with what really happens in the now, today. While this show is one that keeps you on the edge of your seat, it is also teaching people about the dangers of the Internet and letting us learn how to be smarter and more aware. Please do not cancel this show. Why… Read more »
