TV show description:
A coming-of-age story, this TV show is based on the best-selling novel by Nick Hornby.
After writing a hit song, Will Freeman (David Walton) didn’t have to worry about working ever again. It brought him a life of free time, free love, and freedom from financial woes. He’s single, unemployed and loving it. He’s seen how the other half live through his best friend — Andy (Al Madrigal), a thoroughly whipped stay-at-home dad — and wants no part of it.
Things get interesting when needy single mom Fiona (Minnie Driver) and her oddly charming 11-year-old son, Marcus (Benjamin Stockham), move in next door to Will and disrupt his perfect world.
When Marcus begins dropping by his home unannounced, Will’s not so sure about being a kid’s new best friend — until Will discovers that women find single dads irresistible. That changes everything and a deal is made: Marcus will pretend to be Will’s son and in return, Marcus is allowed to chill at Will’s house — playing Ping-Pong and gorging on steaks, something his very vegan mom would never allow.
Before he knows it, Will starts to enjoy the visits and even finds himself looking out for the kid. In fact, this newfound friendship starts to teach him a few things about himself and about caring for others.

What do you think? Do you like the About a Boy TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a third season instead?
Well written show but even more so a brilliant combination of a truly talented cast! Should be renewed!
Love this show

I loved it! I think it should be renewed.
My niece and I really love the show. It’s hilarious we watched it on Netflix. We couldn’t stop watching it. We truly hope they make a season 3 really want see what happens.
I loved the show I think it should be renewed
I loved the show. I think it should be renewed.
NBC always does this crap! They start a show, get a following, then cancel it with no explanation or reaoning. So tired of NBC – cable channels, here I come! I loved this show – it was quirky and funny and the cast was the best.
I still want to see the last 13 episodes of About a Boy. Finish what you start, is a great motto. You need it in every TV ex’s office on the wall or desk. Now get on with it.
I liked this show and would like to see the it continued
At least air the final 13 episodes or put them on DVD, I’d buy it full price.
I like to see the last13 episodes of this show, it was cleverly written, you couldn’t ask for a better cast. It was like reading a terrific book, you just did’nt want to put down. It touched so many themes, adults relationships with kids, adults with friends, etc. The viewers deserve clousure., the show was a valid worthwhile contribution to understanding unique people who come in and out of your life and what their presence there can mean to the person you become.
Hated to hear the show had been cancelled! We were looking forward to season 3.
Noooooooooooooooooo….it cant be canceled
