This season, CBS aired a TV show called Pure Genius that revoved around using advanced technology to help solve medical problems. It didn’t do well in the ratings and will likely be cancelled soon. Now, FOX is trying a high-tech cop series called APB. Will this TV show do any better in the ratings? Will the APB TV series be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On the APB TV show, the Chicago Police Department is spiraling out of control thanks to high crime, officer-involved shootings, cover-ups, corruption, and under-funding. Billionaire engineer Gideon Reeves (Justin Kirk) wants to change all that. He puts up millions of dollars of his own money to take charge of the troubled 13th District and reboots it as a technically innovative police force. Teaming with street-smart Detective Theresa Murphy (Natalie Martinez) and tech wiz Ada Hamilton (Caitlin Stasey), Reeves embarks on a mission to create a crime-fighting force for the 21st century. The FOX series cast also includes Ernie Hudson, Taylor Handley, and Tamberla Perry.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. We really like APB it not your usual cop show how refreshing is that. The technology it shows makes it interesting. We really hope it stays around
I love this show. It is clean and inventive. Of course that probably means it will be cancelled. Please keep a few decent shows on. At least give this one a chance.
I love seeing Justin again!! Weeds, Animal Practice, and now APB. Great show. Love seeing Mr. Ernie Hudson, Natalie Martinez (Under The Dome) and ‘JERRY’ (Abraham Benrubi of ER) also. Great cop show. Please renew!!!!
I definitely think that it should be renewed. It is a cross between Robocop, Batman, Iron-Man, Knight Rider, and a whole bunch of other popular TV and movie franchises.
MY HUSBAND AND I LOVE THIS SHOW. SUCH A BREATH OF FRESH AIR! Not sure why it does not have higher ratings. The NEW technology makes it fun and intriquing to watch. Certainly hope Fox renews this unique series.
Agreed. A great way to introduce new real life technology plus some. Not your typical cop show, but has humor, focus and provides positive results. Also, not all the blood and guts and not all the killing. Compassion and humor always help.
Love the show! as a scifi geek i just want the the writers to be more intuitive with the tech and the scenarios! show has so much potential and range … it can be the “Star Wars” of cop shows! LOVE IT !! don’t dumb it down!
APB IS THE BEST NEW ORIGINAL SHOW OUT THERE! Chicago needs more awareness and this show can help!..It takes a few episodes to get people hooked! The concept is great , actors are good too!..Drones are the future!…Hang on to this one Fox!!!
Don’t mind the show since I like a show that is different but the problem I am having is the color tint on the screen and the faces during the show. It is annoying that some times I am getting a black and white to greenish picture when they are inside and than it goes back to normal when they are outside. Thought it was my TV on first episode but commercials were fine. Anyone else has this problem?

Seems like the Fox network is trying to get our young kids used to the idea of an overbearing police force with police drones and encouraging a lack of respect and understanding of the importance for human privacy laws using scare tactics to maneuver their opinions while they’re still young and impressionable, getting them ready for when they get to voting age… Hopefully their parents or teachers will teach them better.
The APB app is (as far as I can tell) voluntary. By the second episode, everyone in the crime ridden city was using it to alert the police. The premise of the show is about a renegade millionaire upgrading the police force was that was hampered by bureaucratic mismanagement. The precinct in the show didn’t even have a functioning answering machine. If you think that amounts to a police state, then consider that Batman is essentially a masked vigilante who operates outside of the law, with no regard for due process rights. This is NOT real people should not take things to literally as it is only a show, all be it a very very very good show with new ideas and maybe the way the police should be. If everyone obeyed the law then it wouldn’t matter who was watching. I think it sends the right message to are kids. (Behave or else). FANTASTICALLY BRILLIANT show.
I thought it was the best show ever and was left wanting more can’t wait to see more not home at showing time but watch on demand More More More also its Nice to watch something besides FoxNews which is all that is on our TVs

Looks to me like in network that backs our new Administration that wants to privatize just about everything is trying to get us used to the idea and make it look good. I will have nothing of it, will not watch.

My thoughts exactly, Pure Genius is about Medical and this Crime. Had watched Ep # 3, noticed from Ep # 1-3 its like only one Police , Murphy/the boss is the centre of all thing, like without them, all things stop. Bring back Pure Genius anything.

I guess u cant see very well.yes they are the main characters in the show (just like any other show). But there are other characters there doing there jobs too.
