Bones ended its run on FOX last week, and the star of the series, Emily Deschanel, spoke about the series finale in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
The actress shared her thoughts on the finale and her favorite moments in it. She said the following:
“There are so many scenes leading up to the finale that got to me, and then scenes in the finale. The last scene with the squinterns — it was really special because I rarely get to see them all together. We’ve all had so many different times, just personally, off camera, and so many things have happened for all of them and for me over the course of working with them over so many years. Carla Gallo started tearing up, and then I started crying… My character is looking back and thanking them for everything all of their characters have done, so that was an emotional thing on camera and off, and it really allowed us to recognize the importance of that time. And it was the last scene I was going to film with them. My last scene shooting with our other regulars, like Tamara [Taylor] and Michaela and TJ, was just funny because it was just kind of a crisis situation, what we shot last. But the one saying goodbye to the squints, that really got to me.”
As for the show’s legacy, she wants fans to remember Bones in the following way:
“I would hope it’s remembered as the little show that could. It was a show that never got the attention of other shows, necessarily, but we went for so long, and our fans were so incredibly loyal.”

I am really sad to see this series end , I wish that they had done all of the episode like a regular season because that was a dissapointment. Bones is one of the really great shows that was interesting on Tv and it will be missed.

I love BONES always will…and yes I am very sad that it ended. But I know that i have my DVD and Netflix will watch every show again and again. I never get tired of watching Booth and Bones solve another case. Will miss you all…until a reunion? ❤❤. Love to all!!
I always loved to watch Bones. All of the characters seemed to mesh together so good. I am reall going to miss the series. I know the actors all want to go on to do different things but they & the series will be sadly missed. The way the series ended though hopefully we can look forward to some movie specials.
Loved the show. Watched it from day one. Cried throughout the finale. It’s got to b a April fools joke right. Bones no longer on!! My heart will b with every single character. I loved this show. The characters, writing and storyline were so believable. I will surely miss it. Of course, I have recorded most of the episodes. Now, perhaps there will be a reunion.
I looked forward to watching this series each week. The interaction of valued skills, the humor and resolution of crimes reinforced how collaboration makes a difference. I will miss this entertaining and educational show.
It breaks my heart that “Bones” isn’t coming back. I wish you all the best and hope you’ll all get bored and want to come back.

I loved the charactets on the show, how they worked together as a team and family to solve mysteries. Angela was so talented. The lab king could come up with so many ideas. My family looked forward to every show. It was a clean family show compared to somr we see now on television. Thanks!
Bones was one of my favorite shows of all times. I am so sad that I won’t see Bones, Booth and the rest every week. The show was like an old friend each week and I looked forward to seeing what everyone was up to that week. I’ll really miss it.
I love Bones I’ve watched it from the very first beginning to the end. I’ve cried, laugh I’ve watched the show grow; so so sad to see it end I’m a massive fan and always will be.

The show was incrediable i really enjoyed it and learnt alot from bones now which i never knew i am really going to miss the show becaise i like how you can learnt alot from it it was very education for police and scientists working to gether like how it is in really life i like watching police and forensic programmes and thats is the best i watching the actors and actors were brilliant and so realistic at their work at one point ivforgotten it was a tv show not a film lol but hope you all have a lovely… Read more »

I looked forward to watching Bones every week. I found it intriguing that it was based on a story of a real person. To me it was fun, educational, exciting and a love story. I wish all the actors the very best.
