Despite a ratings dip, Bones was not cancelled after season 10. FOX renewed Bones for season 11. Now, E! is breaking news that star David Boreanaz (Angel) is looking forward to a series wrap, at least for his character, Booth. There has been no response yet, from Brennan’s alter-ego, co-star Emily Deschanel (Providence). Bones season 11 premieres tonight on FOX. Is this the beginning of the end?

…if Boreanaz has his way, the 11th season of Bones will be the last. “For me, personally, I think it’s time. I think that 11 seasons is great,” he explained. “I mean, one season is great! I don’t really count it as seasons but what we’ve given to the show and what we can do, for me it’s great to see the show come to an end and do it the way we want to do it.”
The E! breaking news item adds:
It does make sense that the show could be taking a victory lap of sorts. It’s been around for more than 10 years, and has performed well in nearly as many time slots. But there’s only so long it can go on. So when asked to clarify if yes, this truly is the end of the road for Booth and Brennan, Boreanaz confirmed: “For me it’s a yes.”

I think it a good show and should not be cancelled. I always did love the way solved all the cases and how they found and where they found them and reason why they ended up where they did. It was always intriqing.
I like the others would love for the Bones Show to continue……Yes they have worked hard & long hours……..But let’s face it, there aren’t that many Shows that have such a variety…….bones, action, murder, humor, family time & some love. I have said before, I sure hope Mr Boreanaz is not leaving, B&B has a chemistry that none of other shows have…….These two are the reason I watch. Please renew bones for another season I look forward to watching it every week Brennan and Booth bones is just a show that is so exciting so educational and soul love warming and exciting to watch I can’t imagine box not renewing it for season 11 and 12 don’t let booth want go let go convincing this thing on cuz bones is an excellent excellent. And must go on for season 11 and at least 12 please Fox make it happen.
I think it is a good show but I think some them get tired of playing the character so much. I hope they can have another season but if they want to do something else. At the end of one season they did go their separate ways then they came back. Maybe they will change their mind and come back for another season . Who knows?
I simply love Bones & I love B&B together, I will say that I am not a BIG fan of Mr Boreanaz, yes , I like him on the show, BUT……..HE IS STRUCK ON HIMSELF & BRAGGING HOW HOT HE IS, UGH, THIS TURNS ME COMPLETELY OFF. I have followed David’s career for 18 years and I have never known him to blow his own horn unless he was goofing around with someone. That is a complete fabrication. As for Bones without Booth, forget it. Too many of Bones followers watch the show because of the relationship between Booth and Brennan. Without Booth you take out the heart of the show and you lose David’s fans.
Sharon, you are absolutely right. I have also followed David Boreanaz’s career very closely, and what Ruth Ann Walker says is completely untrue. I hate when people spread lies. I do think the writers of this show have gotten lazy. There is NO action (Booth is a FBI agent, for God’s sake!), very little imagination, and EVERY episode follows the same format. Bones and the rest off the cast can pull it off without Booth.
Emily Dreschannl can pull it off with the rest of the cast. David B. can be gone.
I like most of the cast, but David Boreanaz is the main reason that I watch Bones. The ratings for Bones have already done a nose dive. I doubt it could survive without Boreanaz. I’m pretty sure the ratings would really tank if he left the show.

Brennan needs Booth. If he is gone, then the show loses its emotional center. All of the characters are important to the show. When John Francis Daley, aka Lance Sweets, left the show of his own volition, it was a blow to a tight knit team. Without Booth, what is left? I skipped the first of the season, because I can watch it on reruns.
As Brennen said to Booth in one episode, “we are the center, and the center must hold”.
Bones is a great series they better not walk away and write anybody off they are such a couple that makes the whole series great the whole family and everybody that I know loves watching the series Bones don’t make series 11 the final season keep it going and keep on renewing it and don’t walk off anybody think of your fans.
I hope this not be the end of the Bones. Booth is the heart of the show without him there is no “Bones” at all. If this is true if they renew it the show will never the same.

This show should been cancelled after season 8 I just stopped watching got so sick of it. Even though I loooove David Boreanaz it’s time to do something else.
I concur. Big fan, but I personally never agreed with the 2 characters hooking up after Vincent’s death because I saw where that was going to lead even though that was as far back as season 6. The “Moonlighting” curse has ruined more shows, & that’s why I’ve never been a “shipper,” as the young people refer to it today. Season 8 would have been the perfect time time to end it. It just became tedious, but truthfully, I do tube in from time to time. Old habits & all that. Take care.
