FOX is populating their schedule with game shows this summer. They’ve already revived Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? and premiered new series Bullseye. Now comes the Boom! series. Will it be a hit in the ratings or a bomb? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On Boom!, contestants try to disarm “bombs” by cutting wires that correspond to correct answers to trivia questions — and by avoiding incorrect answers/wires. By the end of the game, a team of three can win as much as $500,000. Comedian Tom Papa is the host.

I think Tom Papa is a great comedian, but this show is terrible. I couldn’t even finish episode 1. Way ………………… too…………………………. slow.

Seen it once. Don’t really care for the premise. Let’s see..answer questions incorrectly and BOOM you die. Probably the last sound an unfortunate Christian heard while being asked questions about the Quran just before some Islamic Extremist pulled the trigger of an AK-47, or losing their head, or being burned alive. This game is being played out in real life with dire consequences across the ISIL. Poor taste for a game show. Cancel it.
That was the biggest stretch I have ever seen. Comparing a game show to. I don’t think Islamic extremists are asking trivia questions.
Con. The show is paced too agonizingly slow between questions, and I don’t care for the host.
Pro, at least you need to think about some of the questions.
For me the con outweighs the pro and I don’t watch.
Definitely renew Boom. This show is awesome, especially when the bombs blow and the mystery substance flies. The US version is better than foreign versions cause of each teammate being required to attempt at least 1 bomb which gets the team more involved, plus the blasts are much better and have more variety. If another season of Boom is ordered, they should do a celebrity edition featuring a team of Nickelodeon stars, as well as a team of former game show hosts from Nickelodeon.

June 9th episode Megumi gave the correct answer to the question about which is faster??? An Elk or a Reindeer?? she said reindeer which is the actual answer.. The bomb detonated then exploded… INCORECT!!!

Caught this for 1st time love it. I think it is better than the other shows in that time slot!! Have actually been searching for it, because I forgot what channel I saw it on. Now I know and now I will watch.
Besides Deal or No Deal, Wipeout and 5th Grader, what other game shows have survived in Primetime in the last 20 years? So many have come and failed. I believe this one will join the fail column.

We actually enjoyed BOOM…. it was different! And the host, Tom Papa sure beat that awful British one on that quiz show that ABC had for a while. He was obnoxious and annoying. Tom on the other hand was great.
