Hot off the news that CBS is adapting a zombie series, Deadline reports the network has also bought a new drama centered on the FBI.

Though untitled, the drama “centers on a scientist on the road to redemption who heads up the FBI’s Scientific Response Unit, a team called in when traditional law enforcement is baffled by any crime that involves science.”

The series comes from executive producer Steve Maeda, the former showrunner for Syfy’s Helix. This is the second project Maeda has sold recently. He is also producing a robot series for FOX titled 244 Degrees of Freedom.
