canceled + renewed TV shows - TV Series Finale

CSI: Season 14 Ratings

Published: May 8, 2014

CSI: Las Vegas season 14With CSI: NY and CSI: Miami both having been cancelled, the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is the last of franchise on the air. After many years in the same Thursday timeslot, CBS has moved it to Wednesdays. Will the viewers follow the series or let it go? Will CSI be renewed for a 15th season? Time will tell.

The original CSI follows crime scene investigators as they try to solve cases as part of the Las Vegas Police Department. This season’s castmates are Ted Danson, Elisabeth Shue, George Eads, Jorja Fox, Eric Szmanda, Robert David Hall, Wallace Langham, David Berman, Jon Wellner, and Paul Guilfoyle.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

How are your shows doing in the ratings? Check the current rankings:
A&E | ABC | AMC | Bravo | CBS | CMT | The CW | FOX | Freeform | FX | FXX
Hallmark | HBO | History | MTV | NBC | OWN | Showtime | Starz | Syfy | TBS
TNT | TV Land | USA Network | WGN America

3/13 update: This show has been renewed for the 2014-15 season by CBS.

5/8 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

For comparisons: The 13th season of CSI averaged a 2.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 11.43 million total viewers.

Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

What do you think? Do you still like the CSI TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a 15th season?

You would be fools to get rid of CSI Las Vega. It is so much better then the other ones. The personnel work together better. Where is CSI Miami, David Carcso could do everything which no one can do. He was the main person. In CSI LV they all have their different personality’s, that is what makes it better.

WHY, WHY, WHY???? It was bad enough when you cancelled CSI: Miami. And if that wasn’t bad enough, out of blue you cancelled CSI: NY. These shows are all fantastic. It may not be that close to realityvbut its not really the subjects as much as it is Bruckheimers talent in creating characters that meld together. Do you think everyone watches just for the gross murders??? Now the last GOOD show is being threatened. Now I’ll be watching the repetitive pay channels that show nothing but re-runs. Big mistake, HUGE!!

CSI Las Vegas is the best show on TV everything else is junk…moving CSI to Sunday night was a bad idea. Should of left it where it was.
Cancelling the show is a big big mistake…
letting go of Ted was a big mistake too.
But we all learn to live with changes…
a lot of people are turning to METV…winder why?

I say develope some new CSI shows like CSI St. Paul/Minneapolis, CSI Dallas/Fortworth, CSI San Diego and even Seattle and Chicago, but I think the double cities might be a little more interesting depending on the writers.

CBS is doing again mistake throughout csi like what they did csi Miami, new York Why taking out everybody favorite drama out window and $$$$. Others companies take $$$ away stars have nothing. Shame. CBS needs to change csi nights back early time. Network put csi poor Sunday night late. Reason is people turn in early because work and teens kids go bed because schools. Come on CBS don’t do this canceled csi. Take Ted, jorja and Elisabeth out job show like csi Miami, NY. Don’t ruin it for fans take out one that don’t make no sense. Don’t be… Read more »
