canceled + renewed TV shows - TV Series Finale

Dig Season One Ratings

Published: July 1, 2015

Dig TV show on USA Network: ratings (cancel or renew?)Last year, USA Network cleaned house; cancelling or ending TV shows like Rush, White Collar, Burn Notice, and Covert Affairs. They have several new shows in the works and are hoping that series like Dig will bring better ratings. Will Dig be a hit or a flop? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? We’ll have to wait and see.

On the Dig TV show, a dedicated and headstrong FBI agent named Peter Connelly (Jason Isaacs) takes a job stationed in Israel under the guidance of his new boss (and occasional lover) Lynn Monahan (Anne Heche). While investigating a young American’s murder, Connelly uncovers an ancient international conspiracy — one that threatens to change the course of human history. The rest of the cast includes Ori Pfeffer, Melinda Page Hamilton, Alison Sudol, Regina Taylor, David Costabile, and Lauren Ambrose.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

7/1 update: In some promotions, the cable channel is encouraging people to watch “the entire series” on demand — an indication that the show is over.

Final season averages: 0.32 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.21 million total viewers.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

How are your shows doing in the ratings? Check the current rankings:
A&E | ABC | AMC | Bravo | CBS | CMT | The CW | FOX | Freeform | FX | FXX
Hallmark | HBO | History | MTV | NBC | OWN | Showtime | Starz | Syfy | TBS
TNT | TV Land | USA Network | WGN America

What do you think? Do you like the Dig TV series? Do you think that it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

DIG: Best television I’ve ever seen!! PLEASE don’t cancel! Anything of intelligence and substance seems to intimidate a frequently superficial, prurient audience.

Why can’t Dig be presented the same way as American Horror Story? Same cast different story.

I loved this show and would be very disappointed if it is not renewed. Frankly I’m tired of shows that many people loved being cancelled and then more reality shows or just plain stupid shows are renewed. I wonder what kind of sense – or the lack thereof the people making these decisions have

I most surely do agree with you……….the lack of intelligence in the American people that are watching TV today shows by what is on TV………KKK clan and the lack of brains, reality shows, naked people dating, guns, violence, rapes, drugs, this is that the entertainment industry is trying to pump down the throats of us, not falling for any of it.

The entertainment industry has no morals, lack of decency is gone and if this is what the American people are watching then heaven help this country.

Loved Dig. It was full of suspense with interesting twists & turns to the plot along with strong characters. Also the show had some interesting locations that are not typical. Hope it will not be cancelled.

I love this show, Dig!!!! It is really interestingly made, it has a wonderfully creative, premise!! I can’t believe you only gave it ONE SEASON, what is wrong with you???! I am Jewish, and I have even lived in Jerusalem, so I am especially sad that you have cancelled Dig so quickly!!! I really enjoy seeing Israel on your show, hardly any TV shows have Israel in their backyards Please bring it back, even though you cancelled it!!

Totally agree with your comment………most shows on TV today are full of crap..lolololoo, that is being nice about the entertainment of today…….this was wonderful, delightful and the locations were gorgeous, loved seeing someplace I have never been to which makes it that more interesting. Another show that was great was Crossing Lines by nbc with Donald Sutherland, filmed entirely in Europe which had a great cast and story line……….not all of us are unintelligent nitwits out there…….regardless of what the industry thinks.

I loved the series!! Hope to see it renewed. Interesting local, characters and story line. There’s enough history and spiritual diversity to fuel many story lines.

I’ve read the sad news about “DIG” on multiple sites; however, this site still has the show in limbo.

Please…don’t keep us hanging on to false hopes.

Well, yes, nemo, the show has ended, but not because of poor ratings. DIG was only ever intended to be a one-season event, complete in 10 episodes.

And I’ve heard different things about the ratings for the show, but among people with high intelligence levels, the show was a big hit!

DIG was so beautifully different than what passes for entertainment today, and a winner for thinking people.
