canceled + renewed TV shows - TV Series Finale

Dig: USA Network TV Show Delayed Until 2015

by Trevor Kimball, September 17, 2014

Dig TV show on USA NetworkViewers will have to wait a bit longer to see Dig on USA Network. The cable channel had planned to launch the new series this fall but the debut has now been pushed to sometime next year.

Created by Tim Kring and Gideon Raff, Dig follows an FBI agent (Jason Isaacs) who’s stationed in Jerusalem. While investigating the murder of a female archaeologist, he uncovers a 2000-year-old conspiracy that could change the course of history.

The Gaza conflict has prevented the series from filming episodes in Jerusalem. After some evaluation, production was moved to Croatia and will move to New Mexico. The delays put a strain on the production schedule so USA execs decided to give the team more time.

USA execs reportedly love the pilot and are considering ordering more episodes of Dig, beyond the initial six.

What do you think? Are you looking forward to watching this new USA series?

Just watched the pilot. Kind of wondering if this series is going to be casting doubt onto Christianity and Judism…. for those who don’t know the scriptures very well or at all…. I sure hope im wrong…. !

It seems like they’re REALLY pushing this series. I’ll watch, but it seems like yet another riff on ” The Da Vinci Code ” & conspiracy theory series. I don’t expect to be overly impressed.

Has anyone ever read ” Another Roadside Attraction ” ( A guy working with the Vatican finds a carefully preserved body enshrined but concealed in the catacombs that he thinks is that of Jesus Christ ) ? I think this is going to be slightly more scholarly version of that for TV.

Is this going to be another show espousing anti-Christian theories? Let’s see. We have Atwill’s Caesar’s Messiah, the Roman Calpurnius Piso theory of the Calpurnii Pisones, the DaVinci Code, bloodline theories, Zeitgeist, polemics of other religions, Allegro, etc. There must be reasons for so many to doubt the claims of Christianity. I have been studying the history of Zoroastrianism lately and find that to be an interesting religion.

Love the premises, but don’t understand how they are going to make any other location look like the new and especially the old city of Jerusalem. I lived in Israel, and specifically in Jerusalem, and I know both the new and old cities extensively. Too bad the production crew had to cave to the pressures of Palestinian violence. I’m sure they didn’t want this show made, because it would prove that most of their claims are BS.

Anything that confirms the Bible and specifically Christianity is being prevented by Muslim leaders and sympathizers. That was clear from what happened at Ebla.

Steve; You must be an uneducated man. All Muslims are not bad, just like all Priest do not molest little boys. There are bad people located in all areas of the world. If you really are a Christian, then you understand what you said was wrong according to God’s Law. Can you find or know of that passage? Looks to me that King of Jordan, a muslim leader, has more BALLS than anyone in this country; HE is taking action to rid the world of the bad people…..standing up for what is CORRECT.

Sadly, you sound like part of the problem, not the solution…

I’m so looking forward to this show, was really bummed when read about the postponement to 2015, but you have to do what needs to be done to keep everybody safe and the storyline authentic. I love thrillers and from the preview this looks to be great. I hope there will be more than six episodes! Can’t wait!!

Disappointed it had to be postponed. I was excited after seeing a preview and very much look forward to the premiere. I love thrillers and have great interest in all things in the Middle East. Definitely my cup of tea I already anticipate this series hoping it extends past 6 episodes

Looking forward to this show. Disappointed it has been pushed to 2015, rather than this fall.

Another old “conspiracy that could change the course of history” plot. Give me a break. Sounds like another dud.
