George Lopez to Host Revampled TV Land Awards

George Lopez is making his mark at TV Land. Recently, the network announced the comedian will host the newly revamped TV Land Icon Awards next month.

Lopez’s new sitcom, Lopez, premieres on TV Land on March 30th.

For the awards, TV Land is teaming up with Entertainment Weekly to honor “the very best of all television and entertainment.” The ceremony will air on April 17th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TV Land.

GEORGE LOPEZ TO HOST EVENT AT THE BARKER HANGAR, HONORING THE BEST OF TELEVISION

New York, NY – March 22, 2016 – TV Land has reinvented the network’s annual awards ceremony for 2016, dubbing it the TV Land Icon Awards in Celebration with Entertainment Weekly. The most passionate magazine about impactful, cutting edge TV will be coming together with the network to make this year’s celebration bigger than ever. The TV Land Icon Awards honors the very best of all television and entertainment. Renowned comedian George Lopez, who stars in TV Land’s new original comedy series “Lopez,” will host the event, taping Sunday, April 10th at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA, and airing on Sunday, April 17th at 9pm ET/PT on TV Land. Honoree announcements are forthcoming.

George Lopez added, “No wall can keep me from delivering a great show, so tunnel in… I mean tune in.”

The TV Land Icon Awards is produced by TV Land Productions, and Eddie Delbridge, Shelly Sumpter Gillyard and Jay Schmalholz are executive producers.”

Hey George, when you slammed San Antonio the other night in Seattle by saying “F@#k San Antonio”, you really showed what an A$$ you really are. Try going back again and putting on a show, you’ll be playing to crickets, cause they will boycott you in a heart beat! I’m now and have been a critic of your lame comedy, when you received the transplant from your wife that was a gift, then you divorced her cause you thought you could do better. I have to agree with post above. GL is a huge racist. Something he pro ports to be against, but he is the worst. He makes no bones about hating white people. Most of his comedy is based on that ideology . If you look at his actions in his real life you will see it’s true. It’s not a joke! He hates white people.
