There won’t be a second season for Gigi Does It. Series star David Krumholtz announced that his IFC series has been cancelled.
Gigi Does It stars Krumholtz as a female 75-year-old who takes on the modern world as she lives in Florida. The series ran for eight episodes and drew very low numbers. The premiere attracted 42,000 in live + same day ratings.
Krumholtz broke the news of the cancellation on Twitter:

Disappointed Gigi already canceled. Networks don’t give shows a chance anymore to develop. There are so many avenues to watch various programs that low ratings early in a show’s run is a bad reason to cancel so quickly. Plenty of shows have succeeded after a couple seasons when word of mouth spreads about a good program.
I am so bummed there will be no season two this was one of the best shows on tv!
This show was HYSTERICAL! I tried to turn everybody I knew on to it.

Dang it!!! I loved this show. Was hoping there would be many seasons. Would love for a more known station to pick it up. A lot of people probably never heard or saw it who don’t have IFC.
I was depressed and this show lifted me up. I will just have to watch them over and over I suppose ..
