The third season, which is currently airing on Friday nights, is scheduled to finish airing on December 21st. Thus far, Haven has been averaging 1.59 million viewers and a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

Here’s the press release:

SYFY RENEWS HIT SERIES “HAVEN” FOR FOURTH SEASON WITH 13 NEW EPISODES

SERIES IS THE #1 CABLE PROGRAM AMONG ADULTS 18-49 AND ADULTS 25-54, FRIDAYS AT 10PM

NEW YORK – November 9, 2012 – Syfy’s hit series Haven, the #1 cable program among Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 in its Friday 10-11PM (ET/PT) time period (based on Live +7 data), will return for a fourth season of 13 new episodes in 2013, it was announced today by Mark Stern, President, Original Content, Syfy, and Co-Head, Original Content, Universal Cable Productions.

The current third season is Haven’s best ever in Adults 25-54, averaging 1.2 million viewers, jumping five percent from season two (Live +7 data). Overall, season three of Haven is averaging 2.4 million total viewers and 942,000 Adults18-49. The September 21 season premiere attracted 2.8 million total viewers, a series record and up ten percent from the season two premiere.

Said Stern, “We couldn’t be happier to see the story of Audrey Parker and the creepy, quirky town of Haven continue next year. Season three has hit a creative and critical high and we’re very excited to see where the talented production team takes our colorful cast of characters led by the perfect trifecta of Emily Rose, Eric Balfour and Lucas Bryant in season four.”

Haven, based on the novella The Colorado Kid from renowned author Stephen King, follows former FBI agent Audrey Parker, who becomes a cop in the small town of Haven, Maine, and soon discovers the town’s many secrets, which also hold the key to unlocking the mysteries of her lost past – This season the story behind those secrets is finally revealed and all of Audrey’s questions will be answered leading up to Haven’s shocking Season three finale.

From leading independent studio Entertainment One (eOne), Haven is co-commissioned by Shaw Media in Canada and globally via Universal Networks International (UNI).

The creative team behind Haven includes executive producers John Morayniss (Rookie Blue, Hell on Wheels) from eOne Television and David MacLeod (Legends of the Fall, The Ray Bradbury Theater) of Big Motion Pictures, who are joined by Lloyd Segan, Shawn Piller, Scott Shepherd (Stephen King’s The Dead Zone, Greek) of Piller/Segan/Shepherd and Matt McGuinness (Journeyman, Dark Blue) as well as Sam Ernst & Jim Dunn (Stephen King’s The Dead Zone), who also developed the series.

Haven is produced by Entertainment One and Big Motion Pictures in association with Piller/Segan/Shepherd and airs on Syfy in the U.S., Showcase in Canada and internationally on Universal Networks International’s channels. Entertainment One controls the worldwide distribution rights to the one-hour series and concluded a deal with Germany’s Tele München Group (TMG) for the television rights in Continental Europe.

I am so disappointed. I tape Haven. For some reason the finale was 2 hours and for some reason my cable box did not tape the 2nd hour. Did the 2nd hour show up as a repeat or something? Can I watch the finale online? If so, where?

I love the show it is good, well written a good escape from everything. My problem is what is happening with the episodes form 12/14 & 21. It was not kjn 12/14 and the 21st is showing as a repeat.
Season 4 is good to know, but what about the end of season 3

I’m so relieved it was renewed. My husband and I both love it, and buy it on Amazon so we can watch it more than once. By the way, he has a PhD and I have a masters. We’re also older than the 25 – 49 surveyed.

I’ll translate for those who don’t know Hollywood PR:

Haven’s ratings were really, really awful but we’re going to renew it anyway because maybe we’ll get a job at the production company when they finally fore us for having killed SciFi Channel with bad TV shows like Haven.

Demo numbers are irrelevant (and ageist), so are Live+7 numbers.

Advertisers pay for pairs of eyes of all ages for Live+3.

Wouldn’t it be nice if sites like this one would not let PR spin be echoed unchallenged?

Great news for you.

For me it’s the usual bad news that Siffy will continue to fritter away money on bad shows nobody watches.

1.5 million nobodys. Charming. And what about non-US nobodies, itunes nobodies and nobodies who shop at Amazon and Play and join Lovefilm and Netflix? Gosh what a lot of nobodies. Well if all of us liked the same stuff the tv world would be even more bland than it currently is and we’d all be living in Stepford. When I was a kid we had two channels, and BBC2 when the weather was ok, and no video, dvd, tivo or whatever and there still managed to be things on worth watching. Nowadays once you’ve got rid of the porn and… Read more »
