FOX is gearing up to end American Idol next season but they want to keep Ryan Seacrest on the air. Will the new Knock Knock Live series be a surprise success in the ratings? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On Knock Knock Live, host Ryan Seacrest presents the show from a “mission control” studio guides a team of co-hosts who show up completely unannounced at various locations across the country and knock on the doors of unsuspecting residents. Once the doors open — they’re on live television in front of millions of people. Events include playing a game to pay off a mortgage, getting a surprise marriage proposal, or having a person’s favorite celebrity show up. Co-hosts include Tyler Posey, Kellie Pickler, Adrienne Bailon, Ross Mathews, Chuey Martinez, and Jordan “Shorty” Johnson.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically the following morning, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
