CBS has found some ratings success with NYC cop dramas Blue Bloods and CSI: NY on Friday nights. New series Made in Jersey seems like it would be very compatible with them. Is it? Will it be cancelled quickly, a moderate success or a big hit?
Made in Jersey revolves around a young working class woman (Janet Montgomery) from New Jersey who uses her street smarts to not only survive but flourish while working in an upscale New York law firm. The show also features the talents of Kyle MacLachlan, Felix Solis, Stephanie March, Toni Trucks, Donna Murphy, Erin Cummings, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Drew Beasley, and Alexandra Socha.
Airing on Friday nights at 9pm, Made in Jersey will be competing with Primetime: What Would You Do? on ABC, Fringe on FOX, Grimm on NBC, and The CW’s Nikita — long-running shows with existing audiences.
Does Made in Jersey sound interesting? Before you answer below, here are a couple previews:
What do you think? Do you think Made in Jersey will be cancelled quickly, a moderate success or a big hit? Will you watch it live, DVR, or skip it altogether?
My husband and I are 61/68 and we LOVE MAde in Jersey. We live in Michingan and are Jewish and we find the stories fun and the female lead is adorable. Please DON’T CANCEL!!!
I LOVE that show! Well, THAT explains it. I didn’t know that was the NAME of the show. New Jersey – The Garden State… (with gravel in traffic islands, painted green. Sheesh!) I slightly break into the genius category. TV is set for 3rd to 5th grade levels. ALL shows I like get cancelled. It must have been too high-brow for the general audience… people who believe commercials. Well GOOD! Whatever replaces it, I likely WON’T like, and that will free up another hour of my life… Win-Win!
I watched Made in Jersey for the first time tonight and loved it! Martina reminds me of Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum!
Loved it!! Hope they don’t cancel it.
I’m a little worried, I mean last fall, I had a great feeling about Unforgettable and they axed it, granted it was like 1 out of like what 250 shows that got canceled to be un-canceled, but still. I’m gonna try it and hope for the best.
