ABC expected Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD to be a big hit in the ratings but it hasn’t worked out that way. How will Marvel’s Agent Carter do? Will it be a success and be renewed for a second season or, will it be even more of a disappointment and be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
On Marvel’s Agent Carter, sexy and smart Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) performs administrative work at the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR) as men return home from World War II. In her spare time, she goes on secret missions. The rest of the cast includes James D’Arcy, Chad Michael Murray, Enver Gjokaj, and Shea Whigham.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update ABC has renewed Marvel’s Agent Carter for a second season.
Final season averages: 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.02 million total viewers.

Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Marvel’s Agent Carter TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a second season?
BRING THE SHOW BACK. IT IS JUST PLAIN ENTERTAINMENT…
The show is a wonderful period piece and a great homage to the pulp genre. The female protagonist is refreshing and the writing is much better than the dross being put out by “popular” shows. I greatly hope that it goes through MULTIPLE seasons; as does my wife and friends.
As pre-boomers, my wife and I love the not-so-subtle ‘social commentary’ and ‘un-PC stuff’ Carter faces on a daily basis while having to hide her kick-ass Secret Side. The innuendos and ‘asides’ are hilarious. Anyone who falls asleep during this program needs more coffee, chocolate or Viagra. If it’s a goner, we’ll be sad to see it go, but the thing about Marvel and the whole comics-related genres that these shows spring from is that if they fly, they fly; if they don’t the paper gets recycled and replaced by another experiment. But we do enjoy Carter! We’re recommending it… Read more »
I fell in love with this show. I didn’t think I would considering I’ve never seen Captain America, but I love Peggy Carter and I really REALLY hope it gets renewed, not for a full 22 episode run, but another 8. This series actually means much to me on a personal level.
I love this show, great to have a female super hero!
I love the show. I was alive during this era so I guess that means ABC and other networks don’t care what my opinion is of any show. Too bad. We are the generation that can afford to buy the stuff they advertise.
It’s a great show, but there’s not 18-35 manspolsion star so I doubt it’ll be picked up.
i adore the show and i will truely be devastated if it gets cancelled! unfortunatly, not living in the US i cant watch it to add to the viewers, but i wish i could i love love love the show.
I feel asleep on the episode last night 3 times.
Almost a record. This show needs to amp things up. If not, there is no good news for a return next season.
This is maybe a good thing as maybe they plan a different mini series in between the Xmas break and the return of Agents.
ABC knows this series is a fail. They didn’t even gave it chance for a half/full series. It’s only a 7 episode mini series.
wow another Shield type flop for ABC
How is it a flop? Genuinely interested, because the ratings are far better than Arrow which is being renewed:

I fell asleep on it 2 times, I had to FORCE myself to stay awake the third time the next day. Even then there were parts where I watched / read / played on my computer each time because the show was NOT catching me. It was not the action, not the people, not the sets, not the timeline, it was the script, the writing. I was not a fan of Stark or Jarvis. And I already think his wife is fictitious. I will keep watching although how much I watch really depends if the story grabs me. The Ant-Man… Read more »
Just adding to this…
At no point was I ever afraid for her. At no point was the hair on my arms raised. At no point was there dust blowing into my eyes.
Even when she was reminiscing about Cap, nothing.
Jarvis is flaccid and totally forgettable as is Stark.
It wasn’t that interesting but it doesn’t matter how bad it is, it’s only 7 episode mini series anywayzzzz….
anonymous, your statement shows your ignorance. it was from day one a mini series. that was the intent. they don’t put shows on to fail. what is wrong with your brain.
ABC may have found a breakout hit in Agent Carter. Too early to tell if a Season Two is on the horizon.
i like the show but i think it will be a miss. this kind of show doesn’t make it on the netwoks. i will watch but my guess is starting next week the ratings start to drop.
