A dramedy, Red Band Society revolves around the young patients and caretakers of the pediatric ward of the renowned Ocean Park Hospital in Los Angeles. The cast includes Octavia Spencer, Dave Annable, Griffin Gluck, Nolan Sotillo, Charlie Rowe, Astro, Zoe Levin, Ciara Bravo, Mandy Moore, and Rebecca Rittenhouse.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. I need this show to last! I just love it SO SO SO SO MUCH. Please people give it a chance, the stories are so heartwarming and it’s kinda funny too. I just need to know what will happen to this kids, especially Charlie AKA Coma boy and also Jordi.

With shows being cancelled all the time it is quite possible that the lower ratings are a result of viewers reacting to rumors of the show being cancelled which started after the first episode.
How about this Channel pick up LONGMIRE, the show A&E stupidly canceled….
Well FOX doesn’t have much to choose from. But, we LIKE this show, which means they’ll probably cancel it! FOX should KEEP IT!

i think this show is really really GOOD it shows you that even if your sick you can still have a good life its a good family teen drama and it has that factor theres something about it that just makes me want to see more and thats a factor i haven’t been feeling lately because all the shows that they air right now are all about murder/sex/death and they just need to change that and put some happy tv shows like this
Red Band should be Toe Tagged. Not much there to keep it alive for long.
Best show since ER. Enough with the reality crap. There is too many murder shows. We see enough of this everyday on TV. There is nothing for kids to watch that is positive and thought provoking. Cancel this show I quit TV.

I thought this show was done well in the perspective of teenagers going thru major health issues. I hope this show does not get cancelled as it needs to be seen by more people to give a broader view. And I would hope more teens. Please DO NOT cancel.

I for one will not be watching this. I lost a son to cancer so even watching the promos is upsetting. Can’t believe I’m the only one that feels this way.
I hear ya. my deepest condolences.
They want you to look past the illnesses and see how if we all just got along like these kids the world would be a better place, ya know, one filled with junior high angst and high school drama. It doesn’t click for me on so many levels.
You know, I have cancer, and to be honest, I actually really enjoy the show. My condolences to you regarding your son, truly. No it doesn’t always show you the reality, but if it did, NO ONE would watch it. We, as a society, can’t handle seeing how it really is. Yes, it’s a romanticized version of real life. That doesn’t make it less entertaining. No, it’s not my favorite show, but what it is, is something different. A show not afraid to make you cry over something we should all be crying about anyway. Steve , Thank you. Hope you beat your cancer, the good news is that everyday new treatments are found for this G.D. disease. Glad that you like the show. Everyone handles grief & illness differently. So maybe it ( the show) will do some good after all. I believe in prayer so I will pray for you as I do all those battling cancer, God Bless.
A 1.3! WOW!!! this thing is almost as bad as Utopia. If this holds for +3 and +7 viewers, FOX is toast. This show was supposed to be one of their standard bearers this season.
I saw an ad on fox for Red Band Society. They called it family friendly. Really? I do not think it is an appropriate show for teens due to all the sexual scenes. So sad that a good show cannot be made without sex.
