ABC certainly needs some successful new shows and hasn’t had much luck this season. Shows like Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and Mind Games have already been cancelled while Betrayal surely will be. How about Resurrection? Will it be dropped or renewed for season two?
On Resurrection, a small town in Missouri is turned upside down when deceased loved ones start to return. The cast includes Omar Epps, Kurtwood Smith, Frances Fisher, Devin Kelley, Matt Craven, Samaire Armstrong, Mark Hildreth, Sam Hazeldine, and Landon Gimenez.
The series received a lot of promotion and launched early this month to a 3.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 13.9 million total viewers. That was a very impressive start — the highest-rated mid-season network debut in two years.
It’s not all good news however. In week two, the ratings dropped 19%. In week three, they dropped another 18%, to a 2.6 demo rating with 9.5 million.
While these declines are significant, the show’s ratings are still very healthy — particularly for Sunday nights. ABC has been having a lot of trouble on that night and Resurrection is the best news they’ve seen in awhile.
The next few weeks’ ratings will play a big role in deciding the show’s fate. As long as the numbers level off soon, it’s a safe bet that ABC will renew Resurrection. If they plummet, season two will be more of a longshot.

this show is amazing and the story has plenty of flex in it to keep it going. The bugs at the window is a big sign that the writers would like this thing to keep going.

You have to keep this show on. Maybe put it in a different time slot but keep it going. If you can keep a show like the bachelor On the air which is stupid you can keep this one on. Why not put it on in place of the bachelor for half the year and then out the bachelor on the other half.
Please keep this show on the air. It seems any interesting show , like this on or Life on Mars gets cancelled. We are stuck with stupid Bachelor and bachelorette shows and reality crap. Please keep this on. If you move it to another time slot, the ratings are likely to go up. Seems this is set up for failure just from the time slot

Please, do not cancel this show because it’s a fantastic show! If you are going to take off something, take off the stupid so called reality shows!

This is one of the very few shows that my entire family look forward to gather around to watch religiously every Sunday night. This show’s the best! Please DO NOT cancel it, ever! Cancel the other boring shows instead!! keep Resurrection on!!

OMG! This is mine, my boyfriend & my grandsons favorite show. When its season is on I look forward to watching it all wk. long. I usually DVR movies & HGTV off satellite, this is one show on regular TV that I absolutely love. I think the ratings are what they are because of other tries that have been on longer. Plus w/ men if there is a game on it the game will be watched 1st & he will watch it later on DVR. Im begging you PLEEEEAAASSEE don’t cancel this show. I’m anxiously waiting for season 3
I haven’t had any desire to get involved in an ongoing TV show in years. Please don’t cancel this show. It leaves me on the edge of my seat each week. The fantasy of my loved ones coming back seem to “come alive” whenever I watch this. This is also the first show that my daughter and I look forward to watching together which is the only time this has ever happened since sesame street!
Are youkidding me? I KNOW that you aren’t going to cancel this show. This is one of the most interesting shows currently on.I think you need to bring it back. Stupid reality shows are dumbing down our society.
