After 100 episodes, Rules of Engagement has ended. CBS bounced the series all over the schedule during its seven season run but Rules still brought in viewers — often taking over for other sitcoms that had failed.
The network recently cancelled the show but, fortunately for the fans, the cast and crew knew this season would likely be the end and crafted a true series finale.
In the last episode, surrogate Brenda gives birth so Audrey and Jeff will have their baby, Shea. Actually, they’ll have two babies because they discover that Audrey is now pregnant.
The wedding of Adam and Jennifer is interrupted by the birth so Adam arranges an impromptu ceremony in the hospital.
Russell is to blame for a bureaucratic glitch that causes Timmy’s work visa to expire. In a rare selfless act, Russell proposes to Timmy and marries him so that he can stay in the country.
What do you think? Did you like the series finale of Rules? Are you sorry that there won’t be an eighth season?
Would love to see the series revived. Fantastic sitcom
Yes, this was a great show always made me laugh. Such a shame they axed this and true to form as all the best stuff gets a short shelf life.
Bring it back. Please!
Would of liked to see if Timmy marrying Russell actually worked since his visa was already expired technically . How, once finally married, if life changed for Adam and Jenifer in anyway. And would of been kind of fun to watch Jeff and Audrey as new parents after 16+ yrs together, balancing their used to lifestyle, careers and different attitudes towards life in general.
with the ending as it was, the stage is set for a wild return , though I really doubt we will ever see one. This was a very good show, seven years of episodes sort of the proof of that. Reality shows are really limited and crime tv is really all the same. Such a limited amount of entertainment in other peoples misfortunes.
How could Timmi’s work visa lapse whe they already said the he was a U.S. citizen in a previous episode where Russel throws him a citizen party?
That threw me off as well. That episode he told Russell..he been a citizen for ten years already
Because the citizen party was just a rouse for Russell to sleep with the party planner.
In a previous episode, Russell arranges for a woman he likes to organise a
This is a great show with well developed characters and I would love to see it back on. I am so tired of CSI this and that..and all the voice shows and idol shows and dancin with the stars. We need more shows like this one!
Definitely Yes! I would love to see Rules of Engagement come back on. ❤
