Many believe that Arrested Development is one of the best sitcoms in TV history. Part of that can be attributed to the talents of Will Arnett. He’s now back on FOX with a new show called Running Wilde. Will it last longer than Development did?
Running Wilde revolves around a spoiled playboy (Arnett) who’s in love with a beautiful environmental activist (Keri Russell). Both try to change the other to see their point of view.
The rest of the cast includes Mel Rodriguez, Peter Serafinowicz, Robert Michael Morris, Stefania Owen, and David Cross.

The first episode garnered a disappointing 2.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.6 million viewers. That put the new series in fourth place in both categories.
It lost more than 20% of its lead-in audience from Raising Hope and almost 10% of viewers didn’t watch the whole episode.
The show’s future will ultimately be decided over the next several weeks but this wasn’t a good start and certainly doesn’t bode well for its future.

I agree with dubbsac about it going over most peoples heads. If you don’t get it, you’re stupid. You’re not paying attention. Its not in-your-face humor. Wait for it. Once you catch it, you’ll appreciate it. Very clever. Keep it. Please, please, please. The episodes get better the more you watch them, too.

Anyone that was dooped into watching this, or worse liking it, i truly feel bad for you. Fox is definetely gonna cancel it. I have no doubt in my mind. Raisng hope too. I agree withg PJ. i sat down to watch this show with my husband and the both of us were like are you kidding me i think we lasted a whole 10 mins into this show if that. The very annoying to me. wish that keri and the daughter were more of the show and not so much about the arrogunt rich guy. i can predict this show already. he will try millons of ways to get her. and eventually she will start to see changes in him. two ways they could run with this show that is predicable. 1.… Read more »

FUNNY ASS HELL! the shows getting good rating right now are mindless blah blah blah…… this show is genius. watch it. pay attention. dont let it go over your head. if you like teen moms or real chance of love, your prob to stupid to appreciate this show. says alot about the American viewing audience.
the plot is pretty lame, but its funny, well the actors are funny, but i dont see it lasting very long.
i love the show. my roommates love it & we plan on watching it week in and week out.
I wanted to like this. It seemed a little too hammy but we’ll see. I’ll give it another episode before deleting the Season Pass
Fox will probably change the time slot (which isn’t the best if you want a show to get more than 6-7 million viewers), which will cause people to lose sight of it and as a result the ratings will drop and they’ll be forced to cancel it. This is Fox’s M.O.
