The peacock network is trying another movie-based TV show — Taken. The movies have been a big success but, how will the Taken TV show perform in the ratings? Will it be quickly cancelled? Renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
A prequel set thirty years prior to the Liam Neeson feature film trilogy, the Taken TV show stars Clive Standen as a younger, hungrier former Green Beret, Bryan Mills. After a personal tragedy upends his life, he embarks on a quest for vengeance, as he struggles to move past the trauma. The rest of the NBC cast includes Jennifer Beals, Gaius Charles, Brooklyn Sudano, Monique Gabriela Curnen, Michael Irby, James Landry Hébert, Jose Pablo Cantillo, Simu Liu, and Ali Kazami.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. I really like the show but it needs to be simplified. I watch it with younger people and they agree it gets complicated. Love the cast and would like to see it come back for another season. Good luck.
Love Taken. The whole team of characters works so well. Each 1 hour could be made into a 2 hour movie, the writers are so good, there is so much plot, planning, and depth. The best new TV show. Terrific development of each member of the team.
I Love Taken. Great action with a with a peek at his personal life to make it real. Clive handles himself extremely well in the fight scenes. I love all the characters on his team. I like the realism he shows cuts and bruises and gets hurt umlike the old James bond Movies for instance. I look forward every week for the next new show.
I hope this show gets a second season. Other than the third episode it has been a great series. I look forward to Luc Besson writing and directing some of season two. Standan and Beals are very good and I look forward to an exciting and complex last three episodes.
We give up on this show. Too many people and subplots. Tired of shaking our heads asking who the hell are they and what is going on. It’s like they have 12 writers writing a piece and they stick them all together in one hot mess. Too bad because I like the cast.

I find Taken exciting, a show I look forward to watching. Hopefully it will be back for a second season. Give it a chance, maybe try changing time slots rather than canceling one show after another.
Taken is a show that promotes BS propaganda – my veteran husband & I watched the first 3 shows just to see where it was going .
It is biased , anti- American Military garbage . Portraying people that were former U.S. special operations as the bad guys, who target innocent Muslims . This is disgusting and outrageous . NBC – you can stick TAKEN where the sun doesn’t shine. Hope all your shows tank.
I really like this show. I never saw the “Taken” movie franchise. It takes a while for people to “find” a new series. I didn’t start watching until the third episode, then I caught up on Hulu. You need to give a series a chance to catch on..
Good action. Clive is great. But unbelievable storyline, rest of cast doesn’t seem invested in the show. Too repetitive in the episodes: bad guys in government, team catches them and saves the day. BORING! Cancel it already!
Great show…good action. Drop the silly “romance” between star and his dead sister’s friend. NOT working. Just boring. Other than that …LOVE THIS SHOW.
