As you may recall, ABC started running The Assets on January 2nd but pulled the limited series after just two epipsdes had aired. Now, the network has announced that the show will be returning this summer — for a little while.
The network will start airing the remaining six episodes on Saturday, June 21st, at 9pm. Here’s the schedule:
Saturday, June 21st – “Trip to Vienna”
Saturday, June 28th – “What’s Done is Done”
Saturday, July 5th – “Check Mate”
Saturday, July 12th – “Small Useless Truth”
Saturday, July 19th – “The Straw Poll”
Saturday, July 26st – “Avenger”
The first two episodes are available for viewing online at Hulu.com.
The Assets revolves around the real life events of CIA counter-intelligence officers Sandy Grimes (Jodie Whittaker) and Jeanne Vertefeuille (Harriet Walter) and their search for the most notorious traitor in US History, Aldrich Ames (Paul Rhys). Others in the cast include Stuart Milligan, Julian Ovenden, Christina Cole, and Ralph Brown.

Just wanted to let all of y’all know that it is available on ABC on demand so you shouldn’t have to pay for it on Hulu to rewatch the first two episodes um also um I agree with the fact it was really well done in bringing it back to that era it was very realistic for that era I agree with that statement as well Enjoy!

I was trying to finish what I was posting but it wouldn’t let me get to the bottom of the page to erase some mistakes or finish what I was trying to say. Thank God they are going to finish out the miniseries it was ridiculous for them to cancel it after two episodes if they weren’t sure about it they should have waited until the summer to air it the first time. It was only a miniseries just 8 episodes long. Alot of shows have been cancelled after only a few episodes I think this is a big mistake and from someone who watches alot of television this is extremely dissapointing and I am a dicerning customer I don’t just watch anything. I’m thrilled to see that they will be airing the remainder of the episodes. Finally, we get to watch some intelligent TV. Hopefully it will replace some of those incredibly moronic reality shows. The popularity of those shows really makes me wonder about the intelligence (or lack thereof) of the average American citizen.
I will definitely be watching!!! So excited. I believe that I still have the first two episodes recorded on my DVR and it will certainly be set again. Thank you so much for informing us. I can’t believe that this is one time that I made a stand on something like this and it is going to have a positive outcome.

So glad that Hulu is putting on the first two episodes because I deleted them off my DVR when I heard it was cancelled. Thank you for bringing this back for awhile because it was a great show.
SO HAPPY WITH THIS NEWS!!! Thank you ABC for letting us see the remaining episodes. This was/is a fantastic show. Was upset and disappointed it was pulled after two episodes. However, when I mentioned this to an acquaintance, she said she’d never watch the show because it’s about history and no one cares about history. It’s unimportant. I was flabbergasted to say the least…but then perhaps many younger people feel this way. Makes me feel very sad, as well as frustrated..
I always thought the show should have been a summer replacement show. Running it against established regular season shows have been the downfall of many shows that were interesting, but not quite up to a long season.
I will definitely watch this show again. I’m going to Hulu.com to watch the first two episodes again and have added the remaining episodes to my wish an watch lists
