The Leftovers is currently airing its second season on HBO, but will this series have a third season? That is the big question fans have had during the last few episodes.
It is a question that The Hollywood Reporter posed to Justin Theroux recently, and he feels that the series does have a future ahead of it if the men in charge want to continue on with the series. However, he called the end of season two a nice “bookend” for The Leftovers.
“I do, of course. I would love it to, and I think it definitely could. It’s a question of whether people respond to it. I definitely think that there’s other areas to explore. I don’t know what they are — it’s up to Damon and Tom. But I think they’re very smart about only wanting to continue anything if there’s a reason for it. It’s about knowing what’s the best last stroke to leave on the painting. When do you want have it stand alone, just being itself? And that’s their decision to make.”
It would be the viewers decision to make if they want to keep watching. Are you a fan of The Leftovers? Do you want a third season? Tell us what you think.
We love Iris Dements theme song but corny as hell graphics…. Yes we want more but at times it seemed made up as it went along. Need some ends tied up for more credibility….Pretty random at times…. Guess it could be considering the premise
1st season was great but 2nd is way out of script…..& too much political correctness, I was done after the 6th episode. TOO BAD BUT DON’T CARE IF THEY CANCEL!… HBO can do better & must because it’s not free! My Sunday series are Homeland & The affair!
This series I was lucky to find! It’s a real deep thinker. There is so much more to explore! We know of the 2 dimensions, but departure is yet to be exploited. It can go so many ways! Will more go? Is it Geographical? I would like the writer to explore Cern and an opening closing, crossing of multiple dimensions. The ideas are endless!!!
