CBS has announced that this is the final season of The Mentalist. The ratings have been coming down for awhile but will they rally for the last 13 episodes? Will the network regret ending the series? Could there be an eighth season after all if the numbers are strong enough?
On The Mentalist, Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) continues to help solve tough cases, using his razor sharp skills of observation. How will the relationship of Jane and Agent Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) affect their work? This time around the supporting castmembers are Tim Kang, Rockmond Dunbar, Joe Adler, and Josie Loren.

CBS does not have many shows worth watching. I hope they already regret cancelling The Mentalist! I keep reading other networks are interested in picking it up…..but nothing definite.

THE MENTALIST is an amazing series and CBS should continue it . Well I would like to see Patrick (Simon Baker) to work for CBI again. The local crime cases were awesome . HOPE !!

I’m so disappointed that the Mentalist is over. One of my all time favorite shows with wonderful cast. Would be so nice to have some special episodes. So many more stories to tell. Perhaps a new series with with Chou in charge and the others making appearances.

One of our all time favorite shows. The finale didn’t really leave any opening for a future version, which is interesting. Actually a really great final 6 episodes in my opinion. It would be nice to not have shows jumping around in time, taking unpredictable breaks, etc… Actually, it would be nice to see a different distribution model than networks, more like Netflix or Amazon Prime. In any case, The Mentalist will be missed by us.
I do think the final episode left a comeback opening. Afterall, Chou is running the FBI now and Patrick and Lisbon both did not say they did not want to leave the FBI. So, maybe it’s just trying to keep a positive mind – but I do think the writers left us some hope!

I couldn’t stop crying with the final episode….although very well done it’s hard to see why it could not continue on for a few more years at least. CBS is so wrong to do this! They put it on at a terrible air time. Their stupid new shows won’t last and I HOPE another station has the smarts to pick it up!

the whole time this show was on, people kept going on and on about how to two leads to need to hook up, and now that they finally do, no one watches. typical. that’s why “they get married” is a classic jump the shark moment.
