TV show description:
This dramatic series revolves around a tough and experienced female police officer from Seattle, Allison McLean (Kelli Williams). Like most working women, her hands are already full, balancing a demanding and dangerous job and a family — husband Matt (Jonathan Scarfe), and teenagers Jeff (Mitchell Kummen) and Rachel (Natasha Calis).
She and her partner, Devin (Dion Johnstone), must arrest her brother, Tim (Luke Perry), for aggravated assault. As a result, her world drastically changes. Tim is convicted and sent to prison and this leaves his two teenagers — Cameron (Rhys Matthew Bond) and Mariah (Matreya Scarrwener) — teetering on the brink of foster care.
Having done the right thing as an officer of the law, Allison now feels compelled to do the right thing as a sister and aunt. She brings Tim’s two very unhappy teens into her home. Squeezing four teenagers under one roof proves to be an additional test of Allison’s strength and patience. It’s not easy for her husband, her children, or Tim’s kids either.
Episode #10 — Protect and Serve
Allison and Devin uncover the shocking truth at the heart of a turf war in Crestview. Allison and Matt take the entire family to visit Tim in prison. Jackie, feeling jealous of the way Cameron looks up to Allison, makes a tragic choice.
First aired: October 14, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Ties That Bind TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I loved that show. Seems like all the good clean shows get cancelled.
I really enjoyed the show. It should have been continued. A show with morals and believability. I could relate having taken in a troubled teen into my own home with kids the same age.
Good show had some not so interesting points to it… More specifically the husband was a bit unbelievable, as I just didn’t see those two together. However, the show was pretty good and I really wanted to see what was going to happen in The Following season so I was truly disappointed when I discovered there would be no season 2
I really enjoyed this show. It’s hard to find a good drama that’s clean to watch with the family.
I loved this show because it was clean and something my whole family could watch. I hate it when the cancel the good shows and leave the ungodly ones on. Please bring it back
this show, Ties that Bind was a GREAT series….and just as previously stated, anytime that something is meaningful and with no cursing, sex, nudity, the networks want to cancel it…it needs to be re-instated and renewed….Im so sick and tired of the worldly shows that has too much cursing, nudity, sex, etc….that is why I don’t watch tv anymore….this series was definitely a fresh breath of air….Im ashamed of the aspect that it was canceled without asking the audience if that is what they wanted!
Agreed, this was a great show
Ashamed that this wonderful show got cancelled. Now I have no reason to watch UP. It got my attention and UP so quickly took it away. Family values and love deserve more than 1 season.
What is it with these TV networks????? When they have a good show, they run it one season and then cancel it!!! Only the junk shows run forever. TIes That Bind was not just a good show, it was a great show!!! RENEW IT!!!
This was such a great show. Sick of networks taking off good shows and only playing the same trash all the time! Great actors and a show where the family actually cares and works Thru tough situations! Oh gee it must have offended someone!
why do networks like ” up” and the big three cancel the well written and decent shows and continue to push the trash that has no substance. Garbage in garbage out. We have become the trash we watch. And Networks like up are subject to the almighty ad dollars. our kids have grown up watching the so called role models on Tv. why do the moral family shows like ” Ties that bind ” not get the opportunity to get a following that will support the show. This show has the cast and story line to be a network force.
You are stupid not to renew this show. One of the best shows ever
Maybe we should cancel UP. See how you feel.
They need to make a season 2. It was a good show and you cant leave it with Cameron running away and no one going after him.
i loved the series. the characters are real, rounded and complex. great acting.
I loved that show and actress and actors. It is a shame that food programming gets cancelled when there is so much garbage on still
