The Vampire Diaries is getting ready for its final end in 2017, and fans can expect to say goodbye to another major character before the series wraps.
Per a TV Line report, Julie Plec revealed that the next big death will be both “painful” and “terrible.” She just did not reveal who the major death would be, but with Matt Davis taking Alaric to The Originals – he might be safe.
Fans of the The CW series already saw the death of Tyler Lockwood, who was played by Michael Trevino, this season. Plec did offer a teaser about what is next for the Salvatore brothers, who are played by Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley. She said the following:
“Stefan’s never been good with temptation while in ripper mode. We know from past experience that Stefan has a threshold, and it’ll be Damon’s job to monitor his brother and make sure he stays on the good side of that threshold. If he crosses it, there’s a risk of losing him forever.”

I truly hate that the show is ending, but I do hope some of the main characters will make occasional appearances on The Originals. Hoping the brothers don’t get ‘killed’ off. This has been a great show.. Great writing, directing and of course, the best of talented cast members..
I have thoroughly enjoyed the show from the first episode; a show I will definitely miss. It’s a shame you have to kill off a great cast. Do not kill off the brothers.

I hate to see this show end. I oved it very much.
Everyone except for Bonnie and Matt should be killed. Every vampire character is guilty of murdering innocent people – and then covering it up. It’s the result the bad writing.
It ended a long time ago. “Plec” just milking it with stupid storylines. Man, do I not like her or that industry.
