Unfortunately, those numbers started to slide pretty quickly and late last month, Hellcats fell as low as a 0.4 in the 18-49 viewers, a 0.7 in the young female demo and fewer than a million viewers.

While it’s not the lowest-rated series on The CW when you look at the season averages, it’s been in a decline all season and showed no signs of turning around.

As a result, the network has decided to cancel Hellcats. All the 22 episodes of the series have aired with the de facto series finale running last night.

What do you think? Are you sorry there won’t be a second season of Hellcats? Why do you think the series didn’t attract a bigger audience?

Seriously, no second season. I just watched all season one episodes, and they were good. Please bring it back. Try a different broadcast to air it on because I didn’t hear about it until now. I watched supernatural on CW, and i saw the Hellcats. Let me tell you I fell in Love watching the entire season 1. Do more advertising to bring it out, because i guarantee everybody haven’t heard about it yet.

I’m fricken pissed! How dare you guys!? So worried about ratings.. Like why? People enjoy the show, especially me. He’ll, I don’t even like cheerleading but this shows the bomb. Here’s an idea, bring it back. Make billboards and commercials stating it will be back on and running in no time. People will watch, probably more than last time. Don’t just give up on the show, it has a great story line and relates to modern life in the city. What kind of world to we live in? We would have nothing in this world if people just ‘gave’ up and ‘cancel’ the things we’ve failed once before. Smarten up and bring it back?!

Personally Ii think it wouldn’t have been cancelled if it were on another network such as ABC family. The CW isn’t a big network so it doesn’t draw attention. Most people don’t even know when ANTM airs and that’s their biggest money maker.

three weeks ago they decided to run Hellcats in Belgium. The first time I watched it, I thought it was just some corny show about a bunch of pretty girls who are cheerleaders. Then I also saw the second show. I realised that cheerleading was actually just a sub theme, that there was more to it. I couldn’t wait every week so I continued to see the show online. In a week I finished season one. I thought it was really touching. I liked the strong personalities, the complex love stories, the problems students can struggle with. It also showed that not everything is what it seems: don’t judge a book by it’s cover, they’re not just a bunch of students who cheer, they’re like a familie who help one another and sometimes deceive eachother. All of them struggle with some kind of problem and they are trying to get their lives back on track. I really don’t understand why this show has low rating. And I was dissapointed that there isn’t a season 2 because there was an open ending in season 1. I looked forward to seeing what would happen next. Hope you’ll decide to run season 2 one day.
